Aluminium H Profile

The aluminium H profile is an extruded section with a symmetrical “H”-shaped geometry, used for linear joining of panels or sheets positioned in the same plane. It is typically manufactured from construction alloys such as EN AW-6060 or EN AW-6063, ensuring dimensional stability, adequate mechanical strength, and good machinability. The double-channel section allows simultaneous insertion and guiding of two cladding elements, maintaining their alignment.

In ventilated façade systems, the H profile is used as a joint element between composite panels or other cladding materials, providing edge support and maintaining the joint gap between panels. It is not a primary load-bearing component but contributes to visual continuity, local stability, and alignment control within the façade plane.

Common Applications

Joining panels in ventilated façade systems

Connecting composite panels or cladding elements

Creating linear joints between panels

Lightweight partitioning systems

Decorative structures or modular technical panels

Aluminium H profile is used in applications where joining and alignment of elements positioned in the same plane are required. Its section allows the connection of two panels or sheets while maintaining a controlled joint gap and system continuity.

Aluminium H Profile – Technical Characteristics

Aluminium H profile is an extruded product made from EN AW-6060 alloy, used for joining and aligning elements positioned in the same plane. Manufacturing is carried out in accordance with European standards applicable to extruded aluminium products, ensuring dimensional precision, corrosion resistance, and compatibility with use in construction and lightweight metal structures.

Available Surface Treatments

Aluminium profiles are available in multiple surface treatment options, selected based on operating conditions, exposure level, and the aesthetic requirements of the project.

Powder Coating (Electrostatic Coating)

Powder coating involves applying a coloured powder layer that is thermally cured, ensuring a uniform finish and additional surface protection.

This treatment allows for a wide range of colours and finishes and is frequently used in projects where visual appearance is important, without compromising resistance to environmental factors.

Anodising

Anodising is an electrochemical process through which the aluminium surface is protected by forming a hard, uniform oxide layer. This treatment increases resistance to corrosion and wear while maintaining the metallic appearance of the material.

It is recommended for applications where high durability, long-term stability, and a consistent technical finish are required, both indoors and outdoors.

Mill Finish (Natural)

Mill finish represents aluminium in its original state, without additional surface treatments. It is mainly used in technical or interior applications, or in situations where the profile will be further processed.

This option is suitable for projects where functionality is the priority, and the final finish is applied in later stages.
